Inventions and such
I develop electronic products - software, firmware and hardware from
the idea to the marketplace. Prototype design, build, manufacturing
process procedures, testing and validation.
Sample of Products Developed
- Impact Monitor for patient monitoring of adherence to limited weight
bearing prescription. Patent includes my name on it.
- Specialized battery charger - implemented electronically, an idea which
was patented by an inventor who didn't have the electronics know-how to
finish his brainchild. Rejuvenates lead-acid batteries.
- Wireless imaging system for use in cranial surgery, later adapted to
industrial (non-medical) use. Patents include my name on it.
- Reverse engineer and complete development of devices which were
discontinued mid-project and abandoned to allow new development efforts to
benefit from prior development investments.
- Reverse engineer and implement automated test system for pulse oximeters.
Fee structure
- Development work is usually done by the hour. My fee is $75.00 per hour
for jobs requiring more than one month of software or hardware development,
debug, integration and validation. For short jobs (less than one man month),
I charge $80.00 per hour.
